Frontline soldiers receive heartwarming NY wishes from Thai well-wishers

New Year cards and season’s greeting are pouring in for Thai soldiers who remain stationed along the border with Cambodia.

The Second Army Region’s Facebook page shared images showing piles of New Year cards addressed to the Thai troops, wishing them safety and strength.

The senders praise the soldiers for their bravery and sacrifices for the country and the Thai people.

One card, featuring a drawing of a soldier in camouflage uniform and a helicopter, reads:

"To my dear brother soldiers protecting the border, I wish to send moral support to you. Thank you for your sacrifices for the country. We know that you are tired and far from home, but please know that we support you always. I wish you safety and strength every day."

Another card, sent by a technical college student from Phitsanuloke and addressed to the Commander of the 2nd Army Region, offered encouragement to every frontline soldier protecting the nation’s sovereignty.

The student wrote: "You are all heroes in our minds, working tirelessly under pressure and stress. I wish you all to take good care of yourselves and be cautious in every step, so that you remain safe."

The Second Army Region said the cards are a source of encouragement from the Thai people. It expressed gratitude to everyone who has sent their support and has promised that its personnel will continue to perform their duties to the best of their ability, living up to the words: “They are the pride of all Thai people.”
