Most doubt technocrat ministers’ ability to tackle crises: NIDA poll
Most respondents doubt the three technocrat ministers can steer the country through the current energy and economic crises, and most do not sympathise with the government of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, according to a NIDA poll.
NIDA gauged the opinions of 1,310 individuals from various occupations, educational backgrounds and income levels using multi-stage sampling on March 31 and April 1.
Asked about their confidence in Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow, the poll shows that 30% have no confidence at all, 29.54% are not very confident, 22.82% have some confidence and 16.03% have full confidence. Meanwhile, 1.38% have no opinion.
Regarding confidence in Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun, the poll shows that 33.83% have no confidence at all, 28.70% are not very confident, 21.91% have some confidence and 14.35% have full confidence. Meanwhile, 1.15% did not answer or have no opinion.
Regarding confidence in Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas, the poll shows that 40.38% have no confidence at all, 37.10% are not very confident, 14.12% have some confidence and 7.10% have full confidence.
Meanwhile, 1.30% did not provide an answer.
Asked whether they sympathise with the government in its attempts to address the current economic and oil crises, the poll shows that 46.87% have no sympathy at all, 23.59% have sympathy, 19.39% do not have much sympathy and 9.77% are very sympathetic.
Meanwhile, 0.38% are either not interested or did not provide an answer.
