Thai F-16 jets strike Cambodian arsenal depots in Battambang
Thailand’s F-16 fighter jets carried out airstrikes on Cambodian arsenal depots in a remote border area of Battambang Province this morning, prompting panic among local residents.
Video clips shared on multiple social media platforms showed residents fleeing on motorcycles and in cars along a road.
The Thai military insisted that the attack was launched behind Phnom Sampeau Mountain, where the arsenal depots were located, dismissing Cambodian media claims that the strikes targeted civilian areas.
Border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia have continued for the 18th day today, despite a ceasefire agreement having been signed.
