Former Democrat MPs join Kla Tham party

The eleven former Democrat members were welcome by Kla Tham party leader Narumon Pinyosinwat.
Among them are:
• Pramual Pongthavaradet, former MP of Prachuap Khiri Khan
• Pol Maj-Gen Surin Palareh, former MP of Songkhla
• Yunaidee Waba, former MP of Pattani
• Wuthiphong Namboot, former MP of Ubon Ratchathani
• Yutthakarn Rattanamas, former MP of Nakhon Si Thammarat
• Supatcharee Thammapetch, former MP of Phatthalung
• Chatri Laphrom, former MP of Sakhon Nakhon
• Jenjira Rattanapien, former spokesperson
Also joining the Kla Tham party today are:
• Chaiwat Paopiamsap, former Palang Pracharath MP
• Thitinai Buraphakit, former provincial councilor of Prachuap Khiri Khan
• Chakraphan Piyapornpaibul, former MP of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Former Democrat leader Chalermchai Sri-on and former secretary-general Det-it Khaothong did not show up today. Informed sources say, however, that the two men have already joined the Kla Tham party.
Narumon said that the Kla Tham will not set a target of how many House seats it expects to win in the upcoming general election, scheduled on February 8th, but it will try its best.
She admitted, however, that the defection of the former Democrats to the Kla Tham party will boost the party’s strength in southern provinces and the offers the prospect of winning more House seats, especially in the southern constituencies.
