The Commerce Ministry has introduced a new online service aimed at helping expand Thailand’s exports to China, with a focus on potential provinces in the massive Chinese market.

Poonpong Naiyanapaporn, director of the Ministry’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO), said that the new digital service, dubbed Kid Ka Briefing (คิดค้า Briefing), provides Thai exporters with specific insights into individual Chinese provinces that are considered promising for the expansion of Thai exports.

The new service also marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand in 2025, he stated, adding that China has been Thailand’s top trading partner in the global market since 2013.

The new service, available on the Kid Ka website (คิดค้า.com), presents a wide range of useful information about prospective Chinese provinces, including geographical zones, population figures, local consumers’ lifestyles and behaviors, per capita income, and socio-economic conditions.

He suggested that Thai exporters take advantage of the factsheets, which are available for 24-hour download from the official website, to explore export opportunities and support their strategic plans more precisely and efficiently.

According to official data, Sino-Thai bilateral trade was valued at over 134 billion US dollars in 2024, with Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang accounting for the largest shares—over 31 billion, 18 billion, and 17 billion US dollars, respectively.

The TPSO chief stated that tropical fruits, including durian, longan, and pomelo, have topped Thailand’s export list to China, though demand for Thai-manufactured products has also been growing significantly.
