Video: On Kenya's first rink, Ice Lions roar for Olympic glory

On a 32-by-12-meter sheet of ice chilled to minus 25 degrees Celsius, ice hockey is roaring to life on the equator.

In September 2024, Kenya became the 84th member of the International Ice Hockey Federation and the fifth African member, joining Algeria, Morocco, South Africa and Tunisia.

With the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics now less than a month away, the fledgling Ice Lions remain far from qualification - but their dream, and their pursuit, are very much alive.
