Paris Fashion Week has become as much a study in modern celebrity dressing as it is a showcase of clothes, and the Saint Laurent Menswear Fall/Winter 2026–2027 show underlined that shift with clarity. The front row drew a concentrated line-up of actors and performers whose wardrobes have increasingly become part of their public narratives, not as spectacle but as extension. The mood was controlled, dark and deliberate, echoing the house codes that Anthony Vaccarello has refined over successive seasons. Tailoring was sharp, silhouettes narrow and the atmosphere cinematic rather than theatrical.

Within that setting, appearances by Austin Butler, Rami Malek and Christopher Briney registered less as red carpet moments and more as case studies in how menswear is worn now. Connor Storrie, attending amid a tightly edited guest list and Heated Rivalry’s virality, added to the sense that this was a show calibrated for a specific cultural moment. The result was a presentation where celebrity presence felt purposeful, aligned closely with the aesthetic language of Saint Laurent.

Luscious textures, lean silhouettes

Anthony Vaccarello staged the Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 Saint Laurent collection beneath the domed ceiling of the Bourse de Commerce, using the space less as spectacle than as a frame for isolation. The show drew loosely on Giovanni’s Room, not as narrative but as atmosphere, focusing on moments of transition and exposure. The clothes followed suit. Narrow tailoring and elongated proportions defined the line, with sharp shoulders offset by fluid movement through the body. Black dominated, broken only by muted, shadowed tones. Fabrics alternated between soft and deliberately worn and sharply finished, giving the collection a lived-in precision. Smoking jackets and tall boots anchored the looks, reinforcing a sense of ritual dressing rather than performance. Models walked individually through the space, heightening the feeling of solitude and restraint that continues to shape Vaccarello’s vision for Saint Laurent.

The front row reflected a mix of acting careers at different stages. Kento Yamazaki is a Japanese actor and model whose roles in live adaptations of manga and anime have gained him recognition at home and abroad. His work includes Your Lie in April, in which he played a classical pianist, the historical action feature Kingdom and the Netflix series Alice in Borderland, where he leads as Ryōhei Arisu. Ten, known primarily for his work as a dancer, singer and rapper with NCT U, WayV and SuperM, has also appeared as a mentor in the survival show Universe League.

Among the Hollywood contingent, Austin Butler, whose recent work includes Elvis and Dune: Part Two, arrived in a look that mirrored the collection’s narrow lines and controlled mood. Rami Malek, an Academy Award winner for Bohemian Rhapsody, continued his long association with the house, while Charlie Hunnam, known for Sons of Anarchy and more recently, Netflix’s Monster, offered a more rugged counterpoint within the same aesthetic framework.

Christopher Briney, whose breakthrough role came as Conrad Fisher in the Amazon Prime Video teen romance The Summer I Turned Pretty, also appeared, as did Connor Storrie, an emerging actor with roles inJoker: Folie à Deux and the hit series Heated Rivalry. Each actor’s presence felt aligned with the collection’s disciplined tone, offering context rather than distraction in a show that emphasised refinement. The message was clear: Saint Laurent knows exactly who it is dressing, and why.
