GAZA, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- A winter storm and severe cold sweeping across the Gaza Strip have killed 14 Palestinians in less than 24 hours and triggered multiple building collapses, Palestine's official WAFA news agency reported on Friday.
Heavy rains and strong winds have battered the territory's makeshift shelters of tents and tarps, putting already vulnerable families at even greater risk, UN humanitarian agencies said.
Among the 14 people killed in the past day were three children who died from hypothermia.
