Eyes on Hainan | Offshore gas fields hit record annual output

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced that cumulative oil and gas production from the offshore gas field cluster surrounding south China's Hainan Island exceeded 10 million tonnes of oil equivalent in 2025, marking a record high and doubling the output recorded at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020).
