Former senior Chinese political adviser under probe over suspected discipline, law violations

BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Liu Hui, deputy head of the Committee on Education, Science, Health and Sports of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has been placed under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline regulations and laws, China's top anti-graft body announced on Friday.

The Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision said in a statement that Liu is currently the subject of a disciplinary review and supervisory investigation. ■
