South Korean president names 11 ministers

SEOUL, June 24 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, who took office in June, named 11 ministers, including defense, foreign and unification ministers, the presidential office said Monday.

Ahn Gyu-back was named the defense chief.

Former Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun was named to lead the foreign ministry, while Chung Dong-young was nominated as unification minister.

All the minister nominees are subject to confirmation hearings in the National Assembly.■
