Tatler Hong Kong

La Petite Maison (LPM) welcomes the festive season this December with a month-long celebration. Channelling a touch of Riviera charm, the restaurant transforms into a lively haven of conviviality, serving up gourmet-filled feasts ranging from refined festive set lunches and expansive Christmas sharing menus to limited-edition à la carte specials and a sparkling New Year’s Eve countdown to 2026.

Lunch at LPM becomes an occasion in itself with the new festive set menus: Le Petit at HK$398 for a starter and main, or Le Grand at HK$498 when adding that extra course feels essential. Expect velvety chestnut soup, black-truffle tuna carpaccio, plump Boudeuse oysters, tiger prawns grilled à la Provençale, wild mushroom and scallop risotto, and the unmissable hazelnut chocolate tart to finish. For those who consider moderation optional, foie gras terrine and garlic-butter snails stand ready.

For an added touch of sparkle, the lunchtime Dom Pérignon Experience beckons. For an additional HK$1,450 per person, enjoy 1.5 hours of free-flow Dom Pérignon 2015, bringing festive indulgence to decidedly celebratory heights.

For the season’s centrepiece, the Christmas sharing menu (HK$1,488 per person, minimum of eight guests) is designed to impress. Expect a towering seafood plateau, pan-fried foie gras, tenderloin Rossini, scarlet carabinero prawns, scallop and mushroom risotto crowned with caviar and truffle mashed potatoes that vanish with suspicious speed, followed by a glorious hazelnut chocolate tart.

Those who prefer à la carte freedom will find festive hits threaded throughout the month, including the full fruits de mer plateau (HK$1,198), more tenderloin Rossini, carabinero prawns (HK$928), and truffle mashed potato (HK$98).

On New Year’s Eve, LPM steps fully into Riviera Shimmer, hosting one of Hong Kong’s chicest countdowns as international DJ P. Grant spins French classics into house until dawn. The night’s specials rise to the occasion: white-truffle scrambled eggs (HK$688), a king crab tart with caviar (HK$338), more carabinero prawns, and a caviar-studded risotto. Midnight deserves something legendary, perhaps a glass of Château d’Yquem 1989 (HK$880).

At the bar, the Naughty & Spiced cocktails take centre stage: La Pistache, a pistachio-kissed espresso martini, and Le Chalet, mulled wine warmed with Rémy Martin VSOP.

Wine lovers will also appreciate the rare limited-edition Burgundy pours by the glass: the crisp Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin “La Chatenière” 1er Cru 2020, or the silky Charles Lachaux Bourgogne ‘La Croix Blanche’ 2023.
