BluHouse at Rosewood Hong Kong has introduced BluLunch, a weekly dining experience that combines dining with social responsibility. This new initiative showcases graduates from BluUp, an upskilling programme developed by BluHouse in partnership with the local NGO LoveXpress, designed to empower autistic youths with essential skills for personal and professional development.

Available every Tuesday, the BluLunch offers a three-course set menu priced at HK$348, featuring dishes such as octopus salad, a choice of eggplant parmigiana, rigatoni pasta, or pork and beef meatball, followed by a duo of mini pastries. The experience represents a meaningful step towards fostering a more inclusive and supportive society while providing these young talents with a platform to shine in a real-world setting.

The Glenrothes 32-Year-Old

The Glenrothes has unveiled its latest offering, a 32-year-old single malt that exemplifies the distillery’s storied history and commitment to craftsmanship. Priced at HK$16,000 per bottle, this exceptional release offers a complex yet balanced profile with tasting notes of stewed plums, treacle toffee, and sweet spice, further enriched by hints of Brazil nuts, orange peel, and a lingering touch of powdered cinnamon.

Crafted under the expert guidance of Laura Rampling, The Glenrothes’ master whisky maker, this single malt uses exceptionally soft water from private springs on its estate, which filters through ancient volcanic bedrock to enhance the whisky’s bright, fruity character. With small-batch production, artisanal craftsmanship, and a close-knit team of just 22 people, each bottle of this 32-year-old illustrates the distillery’s dedication to tradition and innovation, making it a rare and exquisite choice for whisky enthusiasts.

Yue at Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel has teamed up with the century-old Koon Chun Sauce Factory to create a special Timeless Taste of Old Hong Kong menu, available from September 1 to October 31. This collaboration brings together the culinary expertise of executive Chinese chef Jacky Chung Chi-Keung and the artisanal sauces that have been a staple in Hong Kong kitchens for generations. The menu, priced at HK$680 per person, offers dishes like deep-fried pork with preserved shrimp paste wrapped in a Chinese Bun, and a standout pan-seared leopard coral grouper, where the premium soy sauce, sundried for three months, brings out the natural sweetness of the fish. Guests who book this tasting menu will also have the chance to register for an exclusive tour of the Koon Chun Sauce Factory in November, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the production of these beloved sauces.

On September 8, Bar Leone and Falcone are joining forces for a one-night-only event that promises to bring the spirited rivalry of Rome and Napoli to Hong Kong. Fresh off being named Asia’s Best Bar, Bar Leone will host this pasta and cocktail extravaganza from 4pm until late, with neo-Neapolitan pizzeria Falcone taking over the kitchen. Expect a lineup of five signature dishes, including carciofi e stracciatella, frittatina di pasta, and the football-inspired spaghetti alla Maradona. To round off the evening, Bar Leone will serve a special Leone tiramisu, crafted exclusively for this occasion.

As you indulge in these Italian delights, Bar Leone’s founder Lorenzo Antinori will be behind the bar, mixing cocktails that pay homage to the flavours of both Rome and Napoli. The night wouldn’t be complete without a soundtrack of Italian beats from DJ Neeno and a bit of friendly competition over a game of foosball. Exclusive merchandise will also be available for those looking to take home a piece of the event.

Hutong is bringing together the culinary talents of its Hong Kong and Dubai branches for a four-hands tasting menu, available from August 30 to September 30. Priced at HK$998 per person, the Hai Na Bai Chuan menu is an eight-course dinner experience offering the diverse flavours of Chinese cuisine, combining Shanghai’s rich, savoury notes with the fiery spice of Sichuan. Highlights include tea-smoked pigeon, flaming Wagyu beef char siu, Sichuan-style Chilean sea bass, and the braised eel with bean sprouts. The evening ends with Golden Fortune, a dessert that combines lychee puree with ginger sorbet and lemongrass. Guests can also opt for wine and sake pairings at an additional HK$588, or a non-alcoholic pairing for HK$298.

The Suze and Tropical To-Go cocktails

Draft Land and Meet Fresh in Causeway Bay have joined forces for a two-month collaboration that puts a creative spin on Taiwanese flavours. Running until October 27, this partnership introduces two limited-time cocktails that marry the best of both brands. The Tropical To-Go combines vodka, mango, grapefruit, and Suze, enhanced by the smooth, herbal notes of Meet Fresh’s signature grass jelly. Meanwhile, the Tataro offers a unique twist on the classic Hanky Panky, blending gin, white wine, and Fernet Hunter with grass jelly juice, topped with a layer of fresh taro milk foam. Guests who present a same-day receipt from Draft Land at Meet Fresh Causeway Bay can enjoy a HK$5 discount on their desserts.
