Shang Palace celebrates the Year of the Horse
Welcome the New Year at Shang Palace with a considered culinary celebration. For the festive season, the culinary team presents a curated range of Chinese New Year set menus, designed to elevate the occasion through refined flavours and time-honoured symbolism.
Ideal for family reunions or gatherings with friends, the menus are crafted to be shared. Each highlights classic Cantonese specialities prepared with assured technique, carrying auspicious meanings that speak to prosperity, abundance and good fortune for the year ahead.
From February 17 to 19, the Chinese New Year celebration set menu, priced from HK$4,588 for four persons, features nine signature dishes. Highlights include a barbecued meat platter, wok-fried prawns with maitake mushrooms, braised whole eight-head abalone with goose web, steamed marble garoupa, and the restaurant’s signature sweetened red bean soup finished with 30-year-aged mandarin peel and sesame dumplings.

Adding to the celebrations, Shang Palace also presents a selection of Chinese New Year specialities, including the abalone lo hei, a festive salad symbolising prosperity and rising fortunes.
