Shikigiku launches Divine Gozen Bento at IFC Mall venue
To mark the Lunar New Year, executive chef Masahiro Noda at Shikigiku Japanese Restaurant (IFC mall) introduces a new gozen bento, designed to showcase seasonal freshness and variety.
In Japanese food culture, a bento reflects the art of balance, bringing together a range of classic preparations, from tamagoyaki and grilled fish to fried dishes, within a single, carefully composed box. A gozen bento elevates this tradition further, featuring more premium ingredients presented as a generous, multi-course-style offering.
Shikigiku’s latest gozen bento gathers an array of dishes in one box, led by teppanyaki abalone paired with Australian beef steak, alongside Ise lobster served as tempura. The chinmi selection includes Hokkaido kazunoko, cheese, sweet rolled omelette, salmon roe with mashed turnip, and miso-grilled cod, among other delicacies. Each order is accompanied by a complimentary Japanese-style taiyaki, adding a playful and photogenic finish to the set.

For those looking to share, Shikigiku also offers a sharing platter designed as a selection of deluxe appetisers. The spread features generous ingredients such as Zuwai crab, caviar, white whelks and lobster, among others. Created to mark the restaurant’s anniversary alongside the New Year, the set highlights fresh, vibrant flavours in a format made for the table.
