XILINGOL LEAGUE, June 15, 2025 (Xinhua) -- The 37-year-old herdsman Urbuusan and his 12-year-old son Degjiin live in West Ujimqin Banner of Xilingol League, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. They are both Mongolian wrestlers. Urbuusan has been practicing Mongolian wrestling for 20 years. Influenced by his father, Degjiin began to practice Mongolian wrestling at the age of 6 and won various awards. Nowadays, Degjiin studies in the third primary school of West Ujimqin Banner and he often competes in Mongolian wrestling matches of his age.
"As long as my dad is at home, I practice Mongolian wrestling with him as much as I can." Degjiin says.
"Degjiin wants to become a famous Mongolian wrestler. I'll keep wrestling with him, as long as he's happy." Urbuusan says.
