KAMPONG CHAM, Cambodia, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on Wednesday urged people of all walks of life to plant trees in order to make the kingdom green in all seasons.

The monarch made the appeal in a speech on the occasion of the 30th National Arbor Day held in Chamkar Leu district's Kasethan village, with thousands of participants.

"Planting all kinds of trees and plants is a green investment in nature that provides multiple benefits for all of us, humans, animals, and the planet, and makes our villages and communes green and vibrant in all seasons," he said.

The Arbor Day is a great culture and an important national movement in restoring and conserving forests and natural resources sustainably, he added.■
