KABUL, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have placed more than 6,700 relics in the National Museum of Afghanistan over the past year to further enrich the national treasure, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) on Wednesday.

"A total of 6,752 pieces of relics dating back to the Bronze era till Islamic civilizations have been collected from different places and placed at the national museum over the past year," RTA quoted Yahya Mohibzada, the deputy head of the museum, as saying.

More than 60,000 pieces of artefacts and relics are kept in the National Museum of Afghanistan, the media outlet added. ■
