VIENTIANE, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Elephant Festival took place in Xayaboury from Feb. 18 to 24 to preserve the nation's rich cultural heritage and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
