Xinhua president meets Uzbek ambassador to China

BEIJING, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Uzbek Ambassador to China Farhod Arziev in Beijing on Wednesday.

Fu noted under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Uzbekistan relations have continued to develop in a healthy and stable manner. Xinhua is willing to deepen exchanges and expand cooperation with Uzbek media and think tanks to jointly tell the true, vivid and lively stories of China-Uzbekistan friendly cooperation, he said.

Fu added that Xinhua looks forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the Uzbek side under multilateral mechanisms.

Arziev expressed gratitude to Xinhua for the important role it has played in facilitating exchanges between Uzbek and Chinese media and think tanks, adding that he is willing to promote deeper cooperation between the two sides to make greater contributions toward enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, as well as the development of bilateral ties. ■
