K-pop star and NCT member Jeno Lee—professionally known as Jeno—has been named Ferragamo’s new global ambassador, making him the first-ever male celebrity to represent the luxury Italian brand. Jeno and Ferragamo simultaneously announced the collaboration on May 29 on Instagram.

In February, the 23-year-old star had attended the brand’s 2023-2024 fall/winter fashion show in Milan, Italy, where he had met with creative director Maximilian Davis and shared behind-the-scene snippets of his trip on Instagram. He has also been spotted wearing Ferragamo during performances and photoshoots since.

“I am very excited to create a synergy with the brand and looking forward to disclosing our future projects”, said Jeno in his announcement post, while Ferragamo shared in its press release that Davis thinks the rapper’s “captivating personality and ability to connect with international young audiences through his music, style and persona is exceptional. We’re driven by the same passion in our creativity”.

This isn’t the rapper’s first foray into breaking boundaries in the fashion industry. In 2022, he became the first K-pop artist to open a fashion show when he modelled for Vietnamese American designer Peter Do’s 2023 spring/summer collection at New York Fashion Week.

This also isn’t the first time Ferragamo have turned to South Korean stars to represent the brand. Previous ambassadors include K-pop artist and Red Velvet member Seulgi, who was named its global brand ambassador in 2021. Meanwhile, Jeno joins his bandmates Jaehyun, Yuta, Mark and Doyoung—who represent Prada, Louis Vuitton, Polo Ralph Lauren and Dolce & Gabbana respectively—as luxury brand ambassadors.
