Since its founding in 1978, Brunello Cucinelli has stayed true to its strength in traditional craftsmanship and elevated wardrobe staples. Even if these roots run deep, the Italian brand has managed to put a refreshing spin on timeless classics.

Debuting at Milan Fashion Week, Brunello Cucinelli’s women’s fall-winter 2025 collection titled Instinct & Reason serves as a key example. Fashioning the internal tension that one may feel to adhere yet reject formalities, the brand upheaves classic tailored ensembles, knitwear and eveningwear with unexpected touches and quotidian styling.

Explore Tatler’s highlights from the Brunello Cucinelli women’s fall-winter 2025 collection.

Equestrian-inspired designs were key in the Brunello Cucinelli women’s fall-winter 2025 collection. Along with horse blazers and waterproof capes, the ensembles were made complete with form-fitting jodhpurs, ribboned poplin shirts and striking lavallière ties.

Adding onto the season’s overarching theme of subverting the everyday, the brand proposed subbing out the classic riding boots with timeless flats. To top is all off, statement riding hats were instead made from Brunello Cucinelli’s signature artisanal materials.

Glittering embellishments were sprinkled across the collection, adding an unexpected dynamism to relaxed tailored suit sets and cosy knitwear. Additional examples of fresh touches this season include stitched denim under collars and waist-defining belts as a main styling feature.

Brunello Cucinelli is considered the “King of Cashmere” for a reason. Despite this focus on unconventional details in women’s fall-winter 2025, the brand did not skimp on strong displays of its signature knitwear not only made with cashmere but also wool, silk, linen and cotton.

Colour duality

Brunello Cucinelli also used the season’s colour palette to convey this tension between the opposing forces of instinct and reason. On one hand, the women’s fall-winter 2025 collection embraced light earth tones. Rich burgundy and chocolate browns stood in sharp contrast.
