What is served at a top chef’s wedding celebration? ThiTid Tassanakajohn, popularly known as Chef Ton, tied the knot with May Jirutta on January 19, 2025, at a glamorous event that brought together the best of Asia’s F&B scene.
The renowned chef-owner of Le Du and Nusara hosted his wedding at the newly-opened Le Du Kaan, a rooftop sky bar located on the 56th floor of The Empire. “There was no better place to host our wedding than our newest restaurant, with the most beautiful view in Bangkok,” smiled the groom.

One of the highlights of the evening was a gastronomic feat never seen before—a 38-hands feast featuring some of Asia’s top talent, from the likes of Hong Kong’s Vicky Cheng and Singapore’s LG Han and Paul Liew to Thailand’s Chef Pam Soontornyanakij. “I invited my chef friends from all around Asia to cook with us—a dish that is casual and fun that belongs to their country,” he continues.

“From Peter [Cuong Franklin]’s crab pancake and Har Har Chicken from [LG] Han to Jordy [Navarra]’s cocktail pairing with traditional Filipino food, it is definitely going to be an an exciting evening.”

With 700 guests in attendance, the party was one to remember, and as the sun set, the couple cut their wedding cake and gave a speech. “I am so grateful to all my chef friends that have come to cook, but also to everyone who has joined us this evening,” the groom finishes.
