Xinhua to expand cooperation with Kazakh media

BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with Shakhrat Nuryshev, ambassador of Kazakhstan to China, in Beijing on Thursday. The two sides exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation and strengthening technological and personnel exchanges.

They expressed readiness to further promote cooperation between Xinhua News Agency and media outlets of Kazakhstan, enhance the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence, step up personnel exchanges, and promote the continuous innovation and common development of media industries in both countries.

They said they are willing to take the second China-Central Asia Summit and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit as opportunities to engage in in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and contribute the wisdom and strength of media and think tanks to the steady and long-term development of both mechanisms. ■
