For over 75 years, Omega’s Seamaster watches have made an impression among divers, oceanographers and aquatic adventurers. Launched in 1948 and named for its exceptional water resistance, the Seamaster line has continuously evolved to meet the demands of professionals and recreational divers alike. Now, to celebrate the Seamaster’s rich heritage on the high seas, Omega has unveiled an extensive new collection of 11 commemorative Seamaster models in a striking hue: summer blue.

This specially formulated blue tone evokes images of the vast, rolling oceans under sunny skies. It provides the base colour for the dials on each new watch, imbuing the collection with a cohesive aquatic theme. But more than just an attractive colour, the shade dynamically represents each Seamaster’s specific depth rating, becoming darker across the dial on models built for deeper diving.

From the sun-kissed 150-metre Aqua Terra to the inky blue-black Ultra Deep, rated to an astonishing 6,000 metres, the gradient blue dials tell a vivid story of Omega’s mastery of water resistance. The dials are further enhanced with techniques like laser ablation, lacquering and PVD treatments to create stunning textures and visual depth.

The new watches span Omega’s full range of Seamaster lines, from dressy to rugged. Sleek Aqua Terras channel luxury sailboats with polished and brushed bracelets, while the 39.5mm Planet Ocean replaces its original orange bezel with a blue ceramic one patterned with light blue diving scales, and the all-new Ploprofs promise serious diving cred, backed by the watchmaker’s advanced Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8912. Throughout the collection, subtle design nods to heritage models blend seamlessly with contemporary styling.

For example, the re-issue of the 300 Seamaster channels the simple elegance of the 1957 original, while updated specs like light blue Super- LumiNova-coated hands, indices and numerals, and Metas (the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) certification bring modern advantages. With the bold yet tasteful azure theme tying everything together, Omega reminds us that for all its technical achievements, the Seamaster remains anchored in rich history and an emotional connection to the sea.
