NANDAN, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) --Located in the northwestern part of Guangxi, Nandan County is noted for the Baiku Yao People, an ethnic minority known for their white-colored pants. The minority has kept its culture intact, and is dubbed as a "living fossil" of human civilization.
Both Li Ling and her husband Li Ming are members of Baiku Yao People. After moving to the poverty-relief relocation site, Li Ling and Li Ming decided to open a food and beverage store and a photo studio in the community. By the end of 2023, Li Ling went to a bridal photography studio in Nandan to learn photography and makeup techniques, while Li Ming went to Nanning to learn food and beverage processing.
The couple started their business in August 2024. Li Ling said that she hopes to improve their living condition through the family's efforts, and strive for a better future.
