美國紐奧良發生卡車衝撞，並且槍擊的恐怖攻擊事件，至少造成15人死亡。對此總統賴清德在推特上，全英文發文表示，代表台灣人民和政府，表達最誠摯的哀悼。
賴清德在2日下午在推特發文表示，對紐奧良發生的悲劇深感悲痛，謹代表台灣人民和政府，對遭受的破壞和生命損失表示最誠摯的哀悼，「在這個充滿挑戰的時刻，我們與美國的朋友同在」。
Deeply saddened by the tragedy in New Orleans. On behalf of the people and government of Taiwan, I wish to offer my sincerest condolences for the devastation and loss of life. During this challenging time, our thoughts are with our friends in the United States.
