โควิด: สิงคโปร์แอร์ไลนส์ก็อ่วม! - วันที่ 30 ก.ค. สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานว่า สายการบินสิงคโปร์แอร์ไลนส์ สายการบินประจำชาติของสิงคโปร์ แถลงผลประกอบการช่วงไตรมาสที่ 1 ของปีว่า บริษัทขาดทุนสุทธิมากถึง 1,120 ล้านดอลลาร์สิงคโปร์ หรือราว 25,600 ล้านบาท
ถือเป็นมูลค่าการขาดทุนต่อไตรมาสที่สูงที่สุดเป็นประวัติการณ์ของสิงคโปร์แอร์ไลนส์ และเป็นสายการบินล่าสุดที่ประสบปัญหาจากวิกฤตโควิด-19 แพร่ระบาด
ขณะที่สมาคมขนส่งทางอากาศระหว่างประเทศ (ไออาต้า) แถลงว่าอุตสาหกรรมการบินทั่วโลกจะค่อยๆ ฟื้นตัวอย่างช้าๆ และคาดว่าจะใช้เวลาราว 2-4 ปีที่การจราจรของเครื่องบินโดยสารจะกลับมาเป็นปกติก่อนที่ไวรัสมรณะแพร่กระจายเมื่อต้นปีที่ผ่านมา
