Four Din Daeng police officers axed following raid on illegal gambling den

Four senior police officers have been removed from Bangkok’s Din Daeng police station for their alleged failure to deal with illegal activities in their area.

Their removal follows the recent raid on an illegal gambling den in Din Daeng area by a special operations force of the Provincial Administration Department, led by a deputy interior minister.

Pol. Maj-Gen. Worasak Phisitbanakorn, commander of Division 1 of Metropolitan Police, signed an order yesterday removing the four officers. They are Pol. Col. Pasit Katoeng-ngarn (the superintendent), Pol.Lt-Col. Sarun Suradechanon (deputy superintendent for investigation), Pol. Lt-Col. Udom Kanoknapakul (inspector of suppression) and Pol. Lt-Col. Prawit Kongchumpol (inspector of investigation).

Pol. Col. Chayuti Pongsak, superintendent of investigation, has been appointed acting superintendent of Din Daeng police station.
