Retox Sessions Celebrates 20 Years of Game-Changing Events
For 20 years now, Retox Sessions have been at the forefront of the Asian music scene with some of Thailand's most innovative and forward-thinking events, festivals and global brand partnerships. To celebrate, an extra special series begins on Friday 24th January 2025 at Sphere Hall with Italian techno tastemaker Joseph Capriati and audio-visual innovator Ameme.for our 20 Year anniversary.
Joseph Capriati is one of the leading names in techno from Italy, he has made a huge impact on the global scene. Known for his driving sets and energy, he’s played at top festivals like Awakenings Festival, Tomorrowland, and Time Warp.
Joining him is AMÉMÉ, a fast-rising DJ and producer from Benin, blending Afro House and Afro Tech with his unique sound. As the founder of One Tribe, AMÉMÉ has performed at major festivals including Tomorrowland, Coachella, and Burning Man, along with club residencies at Ushuaïa Ibiza.
Thailand's most active electronic music promoters have brought world-renowned talents to the region time and time again. Their journey in Thailand began at legendary venues like Q Bar, Astra, Narcissus, and The Tunnel, followed by the 808-Led nightclub in Bangkok with which it first formed a now famous partnership back in 2008.
Beyond the club, Retox Sessions is also responsible for some of the region's top festival brands. For more than a decade, it has been the driving force behind the pioneering 808 Festival which is a regular feature amongst DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals and the number 1 festival in Thailand which brings some of the world’s top artists at every event. Together Festival and Output Festival are also part of the company's offerings and attract tens of thousands of fans each year with huge stars from across the electronic spectrum often making their exclusive regional debuts.
The legendary likes of Anyma, Adam Beyer, Chase & Status, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Afrojack, Zedd, Avicii, Steve Aoki, Justice, Sasha, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg, Martin Garrix, David Guetta and hundreds more have all played Retox Sessions events over the past 20 years. Importantly, the brand has always had a futuristic eye on developing the local scene which is why international headliners feature alongside a carefully curated selection of local up-and-coming DJ talent who are always given a platform to shine.
Beyond Thailand, Retox Sessions has formed key collaborations with famous clubs and labels from around the planet so has made its mark on the world stage. This includes events at the Winter Music Conference in Miami as well as other locations in the United States, with Avalon Singapore to launch 'Avalon at Large' during the F1 weekend, Ultra Music Festival to host Road To Ultra Thailand, London's Ministry of Sound and respected record label and party Global Underground to launch the “Bangkok” compilation with UNKLE's James Lavelle.
