“See you at Government House,” Natthaphong tells supporters
Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, the People’s party’s prime ministerial candidate, campaigned for his party’s candidates during an election rally in Bangkok today, saying that votes in this election will really matter.
He told cheering supporters, “Let’s see each other at Government House,” exuding confidence that his party would win the February 8 general election and that he would become prime minister.
He urged supporters to spread the message to friends, relatives and people nationwide to help form a people’s government.
Natthaphong joined the campaign at the Phahonyothin BTS station with Suphanat Minchaiynunt, the party’s Bangkok constituency 9 candidate, and Chayaphon Satondee, the constituency 8 candidate.
Natthaphong and the candidates were welcomed warmly by supporters, who turned out in large numbers.
They presented him and the candidates with flowers and orange garlands, offering words of encouragement and cheering him on as a future prime minister
amid loud applause.
In his speech, Natthaphong invited the public to attend the party’s event at Samyan Mitrtown a shopping, entertainment and hotel complex in Bangkok’s CBD, on January 11.
He said the coming election poses a critical challenge for the country, as it is not only about winning seats but about forming a government that genuinely represented the people.
His party, he said, is preparing to unveil a team of professional administrators who are ready to begin work immediately if entrusted with forming the government.
Natthaphong also highlighted key policies aimed at advancing Thai society, saying the first priority is to remove “grey capital” from politics.
He then asked the crowd, “On February 8, who will choose the People’s party? Vote for us on both ballots,” and “Who wants Teng (his own nickname) to be prime minister?”
The responses were loud cheers, waving hands and enthusiastic responses. Natthaphong thanked supporters and urged them not to lose hope.
