Pump prices of fuel reduced today
The pump prices of diesel and other refined oil products today are down by as much as 1.20 baht/litre, after the Oil Fuel Fund Executive Committee resolved yesterday to reduce oil refineries’ mandatory contributions to the Oil Fuel Fund following a weakening of global oil prices.
The committee said that, on Monday, the diesel price on the global market closed at US$155/barrel, while benzine closed at US$124, compared to US$172 and US$122 on April 16 respectively, prompting it to lower the contributions to the Fund, resulting in price reductions at service stations.
Contributions for B7 and B20 diesel are cut by 1.07 baht/litre and 0.72 baht/litre respectively, resulting in their pump prices falling by 1.20 baht/litre.
Contributions to the Fund for benzine and gasohol are also down by 0.56 baht/litre for benzine, by 0.52 baht/litre for gasohol 91, by 0.45 baht/litre for gasohol E20 and by 0.14 baht/litre for gasohol E85.
The Oil Fuel Fund Executive Committee claimed that the Fund can cut its subsidies from 1.2 billion baht per day to just 53.7 million.
