พบแล้วร่างเหยื่อเซ่น - เกียวโดนิวส์ รายงานวันที่ 19 ก.พ. ว่า หน่วยดับเพลิงในจังหวัดคุมาโมโตะ ทางตอนใต้ของประเทศญี่ปุ่น
เปิดเผยว่าพบศพที่เชื่อว่าเป็นของบุคคลสามคนบนเฮลิคอปเตอร์นำเที่ยวที่ประสบเหตุดิ่งตก ใกล้ “ภูเขาไฟอาโซะ” ช่วงปลายเดือนม.ค.ที่ผ่านมา โดยเจ้าหน้าที่จะเร่งกู้ร่างผู้เสียชีวิตเพื่อนำกลับไปให้ครอบครัวประกอบพิธีกรรมทางศาสนา

รายงานระบุว่าเฮลิคอปเตอร์ลำนี้ขึ้นบินจากคัดดลีย์ โดมิเนียน สวนสัตว์และสวนสนุกในเมืองอาโซะ ซึ่งให้บริการเฮลิคอปเตอร์นำเที่ยวชมวิวทิวทัศน์เมื่อเช้าวันที่ 20 ม.ค. บนเฮลิคอปเตอร์มีผู้โดยสาร 2 คน เป็นนักท่องเที่ยวชายและหญิงชาวไต้หวัน ส่วนนักบินเป็นชาวญี่ปุ่นวัย 64 ปี
ก่อนหน้านี้บริษัท ทาคุมิ เอ็นเตอร์ไพรซ์ ผู้ให้บริการเฮลิคอปเตอร์นำเที่ยว แถลงว่าเฮลิคอปเตอร์ลำดังกล่าวไม่มีปัญหาใดๆ ในการให้บริการสองเที่ยวบินก่อนหน้านี้ อย่างไรก็ตาม มีรายงานว่าสภาพอากาศช่วงเกิดเหตุมีเมฆมาก แต่ยังไม่มีการยืนยันถึงสาเหตุที่เลิคอปเตอร์ตก
