The groups also called on all parties to withdraw from the coalition alliance and plan to hold a mass rally at the Victory Monument on June 28.
Among the members who met today at a hotel on Ratchadamnoen Avenue today were veteran activists, who were involved in street protests against the Thaksin administration and the government of his sister, Yingluck Shinawatra, in the past two decades.
They included Prapan Koonmee, Prasarn Marukpitak, Chirmsak Pinthong, Sawit Kaewwan, Rosana Tositrakul, Jade Donavanik, Komsan Pothong, Dr. Tul Sittisomwong, Kaewsan Antiphon, Anchalee Paireerak, Jatuporn Promphan and Pol Gen Sereepisuth Temiyavet.
They claim that ministers and members of parliament, whether elected or appointed, have no intention whatsoever of upholding the democratic system or protecting the public interest, resulting in political and economic crises, widespread corruption and the breakdown of the rule of law.
They accuse Paetongtarn of being totally incompetent and of committing actions deemed to be hostile to the country and its national security.
