Pol Gen Surachate dismissed from service

The penalty screening panel of the Royal Thai Police has recommended that Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, aka “Big Joke”, a former deputy commissioner general, be dismissed from police service without pension.

Surachate, who is currently suspended, was earlier found guilty of gross disciplinary violations by the police disciplinary committee for his involvement in the ‘MBK’ gambling website.

The panel’s recommendation will be forwarded to Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, the police commissioner-general, who is authorised to sign the dismissal order.

The penalty screening panel consists of all serving deputy commissioners-general.
