King highlights benefits to people, democracy and nation as Cabinet sworn in
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul led Thailand’s new Cabinet in the mandatory swearing-in ceremony today before Their Majesties the King and Queen in the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall of Dusit Palace in Bangkok.
As guidance for their duties, His Majesty the King expressed his appreciation for meeting the newly appointed ministers and noted how the country and its people could benefit from the work of the new Cabinet.
“Ministers’ duties have many impacts. One is the impact on the people, who should enjoy happiness and a good quality of life. Another is the benefit to democracy, which should flourish properly. Yet another is the impact on the nation, which should remain stable, united and continue to develop sustainably,” His Majesty said.
“If all of you perform your duties with these three benefits as your highest goals, you will be able to uphold the pledge you have made and lead the nation through various obstacles and challenges towards true and lasting prosperity,” he added.
His Majesty the King also expressed his wish for the new Cabinet to succeed as they officially take office.
