Four injured, including two children, in Pattani school bombing
Four people, including two children, were injured last night by an IED placed outside an Islamic boarding school (Pondok) in Pattani's Thung Yang Daeng district.
The attack occurred at around 8pm in front of the school located at Moo 3 in Ban Khao Din of Paku sub-district. The blast left four local residents suffering from chest tightness and shock.
Security forces and emergency responders rushed to the scene to provide first aid and evacuate the wounded to a nearby hospital. The explosion also caused damage to at least one vehicle parked in the vicinity.
Following the incident, a combined security force from the 4416th Rangers Company and the 44th Ranger Regiment Task Force moved swiftly to secure the area. Local protection units have established checkpoints and roadblocks on surrounding routes to facilitate the work of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and prevent any secondary attacks.
