The Blue and Purple lines, however, resumed operations at 6am today.
The MRT said that the public will be informed immediately when service resumes.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the BTS sky train system, the Red Line suburban train service, the Airport Link and Golden Line trains have resumed operations as normal today.
The mass transit systems had been suspended since yesterday afternoon, as a safety precaution and pending inspection, after Bangkok was struck by strong tremors from 7.7 magnitude earthquake, with its epicentre in Myanmar’s Mandalay.
Dozens of people are still trapped under the debris of the collapsed building of the State Audit Office, which was under construction in the Chatuchak district of the capital.
