Pol Maj-Gen Cherngron Rimphadee, spokesman for the Immigration Bureau, said that officers had checked immigration records and CCTV footage at the Suvarnabhumi international airport and found that the woman, identified as Vera Gravchova, left Bangkok on the Thai Airways’ TG301 flight on September 20, bound for Yangon in Myanmar.
He said that the model passed through the automatic immigration checkpoint and the biometric system confirmed her identity.
According to foreign press reports, the model was lured to Thailand by a fake modeling job offer, trafficked into Myanmar by a gang that confiscated her passport and cellphone, and allegedly murdered, with some of her vital organs missing.
