Chao Phraya Express Boat fares to drop by 1 baht tomorrow
The Chao Phraya Express Boat Company has announced a 1-baht fare reduction across all its commuter services, effective tomorrow, following a drop in domestic diesel prices.
Lt. Cdr. Charoenporn Charoentham, managing director, said that the decision came after the retail price of diesel fell to 40.80 baht per litre on June 11.
The company operates services along the Chao Phraya River, between Pak Kret Pier and Wat Rajsingkorn Pier.
Under the new rates, the Orange Flag route, between Nonthaburi and Rajsingkorn Temple, will cost 18 baht, while the Yellow Flag route, between Nonthaburi and Sathorn, will cost 23 baht.
Fares on the Green-Yellow Flag routes will also be lowered, with the Pak Kret-Nonthaburi service decreasing to 16 baht, the Nonthaburi-Sathorn route to 23 baht and the Pak Kret-Sathorn route to 35 baht. The air-conditioned Red Flag service between Nonthaburi and Sathorn will cost 32 baht.
The company said it will consider additional fare reductions if diesel prices continue to decline.
