‘We Love Pattaya’ candidate wins second term as mayor of Pattaya
The candidate of the ‘We Love Pattaya’ team, Paramet Ngampichet, was re-elected mayor of Pattaya City for a second 4-year term, garnering 20,184 votes in yesterday’s election, according an unofficial vote count released at about 10pm last night.
He defeated the candidate from the People’s party, Itthiwat Wattanasartsathorn, who came second with 11,566 votes.
Paramet told the media in Pattaya last night that he would carry on with the unfinished work of the past four years, including increasing revenue for the city, making Pattaya a top global tourist destination and the fixing flood problem.
Accepting his defeat last night, Itthiwat thanked the people in Pattaya who voted for him and he offered his congratulations to the victor.
The unofficial vote counts for the three other candidates are Sakchai Tanghoh, 1,077, Su-ainee Charoensuk, 265 and Itthiphol Nethiyakup Singkhornkaew, 191 votes.
