Thai royals to visit Sweden at King Carl XVI Gustaf’s invitation
Their Majesties the King and Queen will visit Sweden at the invitation of King Carl XVI Gustaf from April 29 to May 2 to attend celebrations marking the Swedish monarch’s 80th birthday.
The Bureau of the Royal Household announced today that King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will attend a dinner and informal banquet hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf for heads of state, dignitaries, and members of foreign royal families at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on April 29.
The following day, Their Majesties will attend a thanksgiving and prayer service at the Royal Chapel in the palace. They will also observe the changing of the Royal Guard and a choral performance in honour of King Carl XVI Gustaf.
They will then proceed to Stockholm City Hall for a luncheon, hosted by the Stockholm City Council in honour of the Swedish King.
In the evening, Their Majesties will return to the Royal Palace in Stockholm to attend a formal dinner, hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf for heads of state, foreign royals and distinguished guests.
Their Majesties will return to Bangkok on a special Thai Airways flight, arriving in Bangkok on May 2.
