Chinese actor missing in Thailand since Friday

According to the ‘DomJeen’ website, the actor, known publicly as ‘XingXing’, was approached through the ‘WeChat’ platform offering a casting appointment. He accepted the offer and flew to Thailand last Friday and went straight to an undisclosed location near the Myanmar border. He has not been heard from since.
His girlfriend in China has sought help from the Shanghai security office, the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok and the Chinese Consular Office in Chiang Mai in locating XingXing. She was due to arrive in Thailand today.
XingXing’s disappearance was first reported by ‘Weibo’ online media and the story has attracted widespread interest among Chinese netizens, some of whom have expressed concern that the actor may have been lured to work in an illegal business in Myanmar.
