โดย เลเวอร์คูเซน ภายใต้ทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยมหลังคว้าแชมป์บุนเดสลีกา ฤดูกาลนี้ตั้งแต่เกมที่ 29 และล่าสุดเมื่อวันที่ 18 พ.ค. ซึ่งเป็นสุดท้ายของซีซั่น "ห้างขายยา" ก็เปิดสนาม ไบ อารีนา เฉือนเอาชนะ เอาก์สบวร์ก 2-1

จากผลที่เกิดขึ้นทำให้ เลเวอร์คูเซน จบฤดูกาลนี้ด้วยการมีเพิ่มเป็น 90 คะแนนจาก 34 นัด (ชนะ 28 เสมอ 6 นัด) คว้าแชมป์บุนเดสลีกาแบบไร้พ่ายเป็นทีมแรกในประวัติศาสตร์ของฟุตบอลเยอรมนี และเป็นแชมป์สมัยแรกนับตั้งแต่ก่อตั้งทีมปี 1904 นอกจากนั้นหากนับทุกรายการ เลเวอร์คูเซน ไม่แพ้ใครมาแล้ว 55 นัด
