Temperatures in those provinces are forecast to drop by 2-4oC in the mornings, with minimum temperatures in the lowlands ranging from 15-22oC and 5-14oC on the mountains.
In the central region, including Bangkok and its peripherals, temperatures are forecast to drop by 1-2oC, with strong winds and light rain in some areas. Minimum temperatures could range from 21-25oC.
In the southern region, from Surat Thani province south, there will be heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated rainwater may cause flash floods or river overflows.
The department said that Typhoon Man-yi is forecast to move over the South China Sea tomorrow morning, towards Hainan Island, and then weaken steadily as it approaches the Vietnamese coast. The department is sure, however, that the storm have no impact on Thailand, due to the arrival of the cold front from China.
Meanwhile, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation is inviting members of the public to tour national parks in northern and northern provinces, such as Phu Rua, Phu Kradueng and Khao Laem, to experience the cold weather, to see the sea mist and to enjoy the pristine environment.
