Quinary, renowned for its cocktail “Little Miss Anko,” has clinched the “Best Bar” accolade in the LINE LEGACY Food and Beverage Guide of Hong Kong.

“Quinary celebrates 11 years of success in the dynamic and innovative bar industry. This achievement is a testament to our dedicated team's collective efforts. We couldn't have reached this milestone without their unwavering support. Surviving and thriving for 11 years in the ever-changing market of Hong Kong is no small feat. Antonio reflects on the evolving demands of customers over time, noting a heightened expectation for cocktails. Quinary distinguishes itself as a bar committed to creating a multisensory cocktail experience, utilizing molecular gastronomy, groundbreaking creativity, and warm, friendly service.

According to Antonio, the essence of being the "Best Bar" lies in providing patrons with a sense of home and delivering sincere service.

"We want guests to feel warmly welcomed when they step into our bar. The bar team needs to deeply understand the customers' needs and go the extra mile to fulfill them."

Antonio revealed that Quinary has seen four generations of mixologists since its inception,

“Our team changes slightly every 2 to 3 years to maintain a spirit of continuous challenge. Currently, our team comprises six mixologists with an average age of 25.”

While bars worldwide may vary in their definition of the "Best Bar," Antonio acknowledges the diverse preferences in different parts of the world, “In Hong Kong, the best-selling drinks tend to be slightly sweet, refreshing, and easy to drink. In the United States, there's a preference for slightly bold flavors, while the Japanese lean towards classic cocktails with highly skilled and classic techniques.”

Antonio observes the emergence of more thematic and innovative cocktail bars in Hong Kong, believing there is still untapped potential in the industry.

For Antonio, an exceptional mixologist is crucial for a bar's success. He emphasizes the importance of attention to detail, keen observation, understanding customer needs, and maintaining a humble attitude.

"Respect your craft, stay professional, and ensure all customers receive consistent care. Do not overlook details just because of proficiency," advises Antonio. As for management, he believes in trusting the team and allowing them the freedom to unleash their creativity.
