不給C羅上場機會導致退出國家隊 葡國足教頭：絕不是因為我
葡萄牙國家足球隊總教練熱蘇斯（Jorge Jesus），針對C羅（Cristiano Ronaldo）退出國家隊一事對外表示：「也許時間（指C羅退役）早了一點，但我不會有罪惡感！」
熱蘇斯在葡萄牙公布出戰2026-2027歐足聯國家聯賽A級第4組第5至6輪賽事的國家隊名單時，被媒體問到C羅決定退出國家隊的看法，熱蘇斯強調：「他並不是因為我才退役的。」
現年41歲的C羅，本月5日透過社群平台宣布從國家隊退役（職業生涯依舊延續），當時C羅寫道：「23年來，我享有穿上、守護國家隊7號球衣，並帶著它奔赴世界各地賽場的特權與責任。如今是時候將這件球衣交給未來了。這不是一個容易的決定，因為有些決定不僅是用頭腦做出的，更是用心靈做出的。」
C羅決定退出國家隊，外界盛傳與總教練熱蘇斯的調度有很大關係。今年9、10月間，C羅被徵召進入國家隊，首場先發登場，僅踢了67分鐘；隨後在第二場比賽中，淪為替補球員，甚至在第3場賽前，熱蘇斯直接宣布不打算安排C羅出賽，C羅得知消息後，一氣之下離開國家隊。
葡萄牙足協對此，將C羅處以禁賽30天，以及罰款255歐元。C羅經過考慮，最終決定退出國家隊，並正式交出國家隊戰袍。熱蘇斯強調：「對於C羅退出國家隊，我並不感到罪惡。我或許讓情況稍微提早發生了，但C羅絕不是因為我才從國家隊退役的。」
他進一步表達自己的看法，熱蘇斯說：「退出國家隊本來就存在於C羅腦海中，我尊重C羅的決定。我原本以為C羅會回到國家隊，然而C羅認為現在是離開國家隊的適當時期，決定應該受到尊重。我們絕不應該忘記他對葡萄牙國家隊的意義，以及他為國家貢獻了什麼，還有他在年輕球員心中的象徵。」
