時代的眼淚！微軟公司（Microsoft）最新公告指出，1995年首次亮相的IE瀏覽器（Internet Explorer）服役27年，將在今年6月15日在Windows 10 client SKUs、IoT等版本正式停止支援，除了特定版本以外，家用版本會透過更新直接禁用，將用戶自動導至Edge瀏覽器。
微軟（Microsoft）最新公告指出，IE 11自6月15日起，Windows 10 client SKUs、IoT等版本正式停止使用，除了伺服器、商務等特定版本以外，家用版本將會透過更新直接禁用，將用戶導至Edge瀏覽器。不過，微軟也考量到用戶使用上的習慣，在Edge瀏覽器內提供「IE模式」支援至2029年。
另外，微軟公告也指出，Microsoft Edge瀏覽器將正式取代Windows 10裡的IE 11瀏覽器，當用戶點擊IE應用程式時，會被自動導向Edge瀏覽器，包括通過Semi-Annual通道（SAC）提供運行Windows 10用戶端的產品，SKU（版本20H2及更高版本）和Windows 10 IoT（版本20H2及更高版本）系統的IE 11桌面應用。
而微軟在公告中表示，為維持特定版本的穩定運行，下述作業系統版本不列在此次公告所影響的範圍：

Internet Explorer platform (MSHTML/Trident), including WebOC
Internet Explorer 11 desktop application on:
Windows 8.1
Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESU)
Windows Server SAC (all versions)
Windows 10 IoT Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) (all versions)
Windows Server LTSC (all versions)
Windows 10 client LTSC (all versions)
