自2015年起，美國前總統歐巴馬（Barack Obama）每年都會公布當年度最喜愛的藝文作品，在他離開白宮後也依然維持這項傳統。隨著2019年進入尾聲，歐巴馬也照例在社群媒體分享「使他的這一年更加明亮」、主題涵蓋注意力經濟（attention economy）、監控資本主義（surveillance capitalism）的19本書籍，「這些書籍大多在今年問世，希望您和我一樣喜愛閱讀它們。」
