Google 先前就傳出有計劃推出摺疊螢幕手機，原本將在去年推出，後來卻因為其他考量取消發表，不過種種跡象看來，Google 的摺疊螢幕手機仍然在開發中，而且消息也指出他將在年底發表。
螢幕面板產業研究機構 DSCC 執行長 Ross Young 在 Twitter 上透露，Google Pixel 摺疊機的內螢幕尺寸，將會和三星 Galaxy Z Fold 4 差不多，不過 Pixel 摺疊機的外螢幕對角線將會只有 5.8 吋，比 Z Fold 4 來得小，表示 Pixel 摺疊機的螢幕比例將會更寬。
Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have similar sized foldable displays, but the Google cover display will be quite a bit smaller at 5.8". This should mean it will have a wider aspect ratio than the Samsung 6.19" Fold 4. Hear more at our conference next week.

三星 Galaxy Z Fold 4 先前已有傳言，螢幕比例將會比前代更寬，Google Pixel 摺疊機的內螢幕更寬，則可能展開後更接近正方型，目前大摺疊手機的螢幕比例都在向更寬的正方形靠攏，OPPO Find N 的內螢幕比例為 8.4：9，vivo X Fold 則為 4：3.5。Ross Young 也在推文回覆中表示，Pixel 摺疊機將在今年第四季登場。
